BONDI TENS - SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Bondi Tens 2011 tournament will again be played at Woollahra Colleagues rugby grounds, Rose Bay, on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February, 2011.

The inaugural Bondi Tens in 2005 was in honour of rugby friends and team mates injured or killed in the Bali bombings while they were participating in the Bali Tens. One of Colleagues past players died as a result of injuries; the Bali Legends have fielded a team each year since 2005.  All proceeds go to charity; since inception more than $100,000 has been distributed to: Royal North Shore Burns Unit, Beyond Blue, Plan Australia, Zero to One Foundation and the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Owing to the tremendous success of the competition over the past 6 years, more than twenty teams have already registered (mid-November) for the 2011 Bondi Tens, including, for the first time, Tabubil Tigers from Papua New Guinea. This year the Tournament coincides with Chinese New Year so we are hopeful of hosting a couple of teams from Hong Kong and the return of the South Sea Flyers from Fiji.  We also get at least a couple of teams from Queensland and good representation from Sydney and Country NSW. So, this exciting, well- organised tournament provides an opportunity for your company to promote your organisation, products and services to a wide and influential audience.

Colleagues have always had a close association with the business world, both locally and internationally. The involvement of established teams from Asia and Australia in the Bondi Tens provides significant exposure across both Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region for your company.

This tournament has become a major event in the Australian sports calendar. The tournament is promoted throughout the region in association with all the Asian national rugby authorities.

Sponsoring of the Bondi Tens offers:

  • The opportunity to have your company’s name promoted on our website www.bonditens.com.au, Newsletters and general communication throughout Australia and Asia
  • On tournament days, an event where your banners can be displayed, products distributed and representatives can network in a convivial, social atmosphere.
  • An association with a leading event on the Australian and international sports calendar, sanctioned by the Australian Rugby Football Union
  • Extensive branding across the international rugby community
  • An opportunity to support a quality, charitable cause.

For $10-15,000 we would welcome a Sponsor for the naming rights of the tournament. Imagine ‘xxxxx 2011Bond Tens” heading our website; on every Newsletter distributed weekly throughout Asia; and, on Tournament days, in sunny February days and balmy evenings, your banners flapping in the breeze and your representatives networking in a healthy, sporting atmosphere, knowing that, it is all going to a good cause.  If you wish, you can select your preferred charity to receive a donation.

For lesser amounts, and Sponsors who wish to counter-barter products for promotion, we offer exposure on the website, Newsletters and the opportunity to promote, hire and sell your wares before and at the 2011 Bondi Tens.
