Bali Legends

The Bali Legends first played in November 2003 at the North Sydney Oval, as a memorial to those who died and were injured by the tragedy on Kuta the previous year. Started by Melissa Lysaght, who lost here husband Scott, the Legends concept is to celebrate the indubitable spirit Rugby promotes, the friendship bonds that are created, the camaraderie that is enjoyed and the stories to be told in the bar afterwards. These are unequalled in any other sport. Players have travelled from across the globe to represent the Bali Legends, many representing clubs that were in Bali at the time, as were directly affected.

With the international make up of the team comes along a myriad of skills and talents that will dazzle on (and off) the field. Indeed in true Barbarian style the ball will be thrown around with abandon, and most likely abandoned altogether in pursuit of more refreshments.

We may not carry off any of the prizes at the end of the day, but playing in the true spirit of the Bali Legends we will have a lot of fun trying, and importantly make new friends to boot.
