Breakers Old Boys

Breakers Old Boys is the result of drunken discussions after way too many beers where original members of the Gold Coast Breakers rugby club convinced themselves that we still have what it takes to lace up the boots and once again discuss the finer points of the game over a few beers.

I guess this is a thinly veiled attempt to allow a group of mates to get together for a good old fashioned piss up! Original Breakers Adrian "SPANNER" Morris, Big Luke Jansen and Nick "Nicko" O'Neil are confirmed starters and will hopefully be joined by several other original men from the Coast, if not who cares.

Also making the BOBS all the more memorable are a host of familiar players from Sydney and surrounds. Such maniacs as Riann, Howie, Nes, Neil Bro, G, Leo , Vic , Trent , Varley, Nes' mate from work, some mate of Mundy's, and the major drawcard all the way from Perth WA Peter "I am not related to Spanner I am just his little brother" Morris.

The BOBS will pride themselves on the age old tens tradition of being fully competitive for at least the first 30 seconds in each half, other than that the aim is to put a forward pack weighing at least 570kg onto the field which should make for riveting rugby. I can almost hear the sounds of excitement as every knock on or dropped ball will lead to the best part of tens rugby and all rugby for that matter...a scrum.

The BOBS look forward to enjoying a few beers with each and every one of the fellow players, officials, spectators and basically any one who wants to have a beer with us and can put up with our crap!
