British Lions

The British Lions 10's squad was initially assembled for the 2008 Bondi Tens. Having performed better than expected in that tournament, it was a no-brainer that we would be back in 2009 to hit harder, run faster and drink more - not necessarily in that order. Interest has gathered apace and the 2009 squad is that classic blend of cunning, guile, wit, pace and lard! There is a good presence of old and new faces alike, as the Lions continue to live and breathe the philosophy of welcoming all from far and wide (as long as their great great Grandfather was British). In 2009 we look forward to demonstrating what it is to be a Lion, with a focus on enjoying/winning our rugby and having a few beers along the way.
