Western Australian University
As a result of the fantastic experience I had at the Bondi 10s last year as the smallest player in the worlds largest 10s team, the B.O.B.S. (Brisbane Old Boys), I couldn’t wait to get back to Perth to start organising a team from the University of W.A. rugby club for this year’s competition and what a team has come together.
The team has a great mixture of age, experience, fitness and talent. We have representatives from all grades and the balance, on paper at least, looks to be near perfect. The 6th/4th grade contingent of Scalzi, Bernie and myself throw our age, experience and dashing good looks into the mix.
Club stalwart and recently appointed club president Gibbo while doing his bit to raise the average age and will bring grunt with a touch flair to the engine room. We are grateful to have recent colts Timmy Johnstone, Robbie Young, Sam Medway and Bryce Walker on board to take care of fitness and talent for the team. The U.W.A. Rugby Club is excited to be part of the Bondi 10s in what will hopefully be the first of many years.
Yours in Rugby Pete (Biscuits) Morris
